How long have you been Dumpster Diving for?
Approximately four years.
Why do you Dumpster Dive?
I do it for a multitude of reasons, I do it for the culture, for the community; I do it for the necessity, (being a student and volunteer is not a well paid occupation) and for the freedom. But finally I do it in the hope of working towards a more empowering and sustainable society.
I hope that by giving the world a glimpse of the underground
What are some of your fears about going on this trip?
My most present fear is the fear of failure, the possibility that this concept will not be practically feasible. My not so present fear is the fear of negative repercussions arising out of publicising and perhaps popularising this underground culture.
What do you hope to get out of it?
Knowledge, inspiration and education. For myself, my trip companions and the greater society.

How long have you been Dumpster Diving for?
As for the art of using dumpsters within the peripheries of medium to large scale manufacturing and retail establishments my guess would be around 4 years, but the exact time I'm not sure as it seemed to morph into the continuum of unexplored opportunities.
Why do you Dumpster Dive?
Well it's FREE! When we find items that astound us, the joy is euphoric and lasts for days in feeling, and last years in our stories. Then there is sharing and receiving, friendships and networks.
Why do you want to go on this trip?
This challenge will test our physical and mental/social extremes. Whilst this sound
oppressing and ear bashing we will introduce the audience to many humorous experiences, eccentric characters, enlightened intellects researching this and related phenomena, and simply a journey bound to experience barriers, elation and mystery.
What are some of your fears about going on this trip?
That we might be confronted by people not accepting to our endeavours, though we encounter this occasionally and usually ends with benign outcomes. Then the failure to accomplish the challenge - where this is not an acceptable outcome - it will undoubtedly raise emotions and hence the stretching of our relationships in claustrophobic situations gives me the willies.
What do you hope to get out of it?
This will give us a chance to be able to tell a story that dwells on the fringes of our
society, though woven in its fabric, which is not assessable to everyday lives.
